MA40-7040-501
The Schneider Electric MA40-7040-501 is a SmartX direct-coupled spring return actuator for damper and globe valve control in commercial HVAC and building automation systems. The MA40-7040-501 provides on/off control at 120VAC with one SPDT auxiliary switch for equipment interlocking — typically used to prove valve or damper position before starting a fan or pump. The spring return mechanism drives the MA40-7040-501 to its fail-safe position on power loss. Direct-couple design mounts to a damper shaft without brackets — linkage kit required for globe valve applications. Rated NEMA 2 with 95° rotation adjustable from 40–95°.
